Climate education is a family affair at SYV Earth Day - with a grand variety of hands-on family activities throughout River View Park and SYV Botanic Garden. At SYV Earth Day, you will find something for everyone: education, live entertainment, food, festivities, and more.
New this year, parents can pick up SYV Earth Day Family Passports in the Kids Green Zone. When families have participated in a total of 8 environmentally friendly family activities and collected 8 stamps, the passports can be turned in for a chance to win prices!
KIDS GREEN ZONE
Children will find plenty of things to do, and it is a good idea to show up early. Kids can explore family activities throughout, including a petting zoo, rock climbing, horseback riding, bouncers, earthworms, corn toss, and more! The Traveling Bee Bags, one of our favorites from last year, will also be available again this year. Stop by the booths for SYV Botanical Garden, Down 2 Earth, Wilding Art Museum, NatureTrack, SYV Stone and Compost, and S & S Seed to put together a bee bag for you to take home! Also, don't forget to pick up for a Family Passport and fill it up with stickers throughout the park - you will have a chance to win some great eco-friendly prizes!
Live music from CALICO, Ruben Lee Band, and the SYV Band will rock the house; and guest speakers Mark and James will inform us with Earth Day related topics. Relax and enjoy our guests while sampling local beer or wine, dancing, and having a great time.
